Use the above download links for VMware Workstation, in this article, am using VMware Workstation Pro, so the installation steps are as following.

If you have already installed VMware in your host computer you can skip this steps.

Step 1: Open VMware Workstation Setup

When you have decided to use which version of VMware Workstation, click on the setup file to start the installation process.

Select the installation destination it’s customization, you can change the installation destination folder and drive, make sure to mark the Enhance keyboard drive and click on Next.

Every Application has user experience setting, you can allow VMware to check for Update every time you start VMware Workstation.

For quick access VMware Workstation will ask you to allow desktop shortcut, even you can add the shortcuts on start menu to access VMware workstation easily in this future use.

Sounds good! installation of VMware Workstation has been completed, the next thing you have to do is to install VMware Unlocker tool to enable macOS installation on VMware Virtual Machine. follow the step below how to do.

Step 2: Install VMware Unlocker

As i mention on the above section of this article you have to install VMware Unlocker to enable the macOS Installation on VMware, after downloading the tool, you have to extract the file with WinRAR and right click on the file, called “win-install.cmd” and run as addministrator. to install VMware Unlocker.

After the installation completed you will be able to see an macOS Installation on creating VMware Virtual Machine, Follow the below steps to create a new virtual machine for macOS High Sierra in VMware Workstation Pro.

2: Create a New Virtual Machine for macOS High Sierra

Every Operating system need Hard ware resources like Ram Processor and Hard Disk, so we have to create a new virtual machine for macOS High Sierra to avail this resources in a virtual environments.

Creating a new virtual machine is simply after you install VMware workstation open the application on the Home Page menu you will see an option called “Create a New Virtual Machine” click on that, next follow the instruction as shown on the image below. one thing need to be noticed that, on the guest operating system page, you have to select the option I will install the operating system later. and go Next.

Now with the help of VMware Unlocker, you will be able to install macOS on Vmware virtual machine as show on the image below see will see an option for macOS Installation select that, and confirm your macOS Version which you are going to install on this virtual machine. next confirm the virtual machine name and destination folder.

Assign a hard disk size for macOS High Sierra Virtual machine the default size is about 40 GB which is completely enough for macOS High Sierra Installation. the only thing you have to do on this page is to confirm to store the Virtual disk file as a single file.

You are finished with creating a new virtual machine on VMware, click on the Finish as shown on the image above.

4: Edit macOS High Sierra Virtual Machine

While creating macOS High Sierra VMware virtual machine we decided to install the operating system later, now its the time to add the macOS High Sierra VMware image in our virtual machine, how to do that? Simply click on the Edit Virtual Machine settings, the below image will help you to navigate to the setting.

In the virtual machine settings page, from the left menu Select “Memory” and specify the amount of memory to use with this virtual machine, the recommended is 4 GB, you can use the scroll icon to move into 4 GB, or you can manually type.

Next we have to select the “Processors” and increase the number of processor up to 2. which will be total 4 cores processor.

Now its time to add the macOS High Sierra VMware Image which you have download from the download section, first of all we have delete the previous hard drive that virtual machine has create. to do that, click on the remove button as shown on this image.

After removing the blank hard disk, now click on add to browse for macOS High Sierra VMware image. follow the instructions.

On the Hardware Type, select hard disk, and SATA which is recommended you don’t need any changes on this page click Next.

Here you have to use an existing virtual disk, click on next, on the second page you have to browse the image where you have saved, and select the image click on finish.

as its shown on the image below we are using macOS High Sierra 10.13.6, which is the latest version of macOS High Sierra update.

VMware will convert your VMware image into newer format if you allow but, you have select the option keep existing format because we may need this image for the future use. now you are done.

5: Edit Virtual Machine VMX File

after creating and editing VMware virtual machine will create some files on the destination which you have selected for Virtual to be stored, open the Virtual Machine location and look for the files with .VMX extension and open that with notepad.

6: Install macOS High Sierra on VMware Virtual Machine on Windows PC

You have completed all the complicated task, macOS High Sierra installation on VMware virtual machine is so simple. simply click on play virtual machine and wait for apple logo to disappear.

On the first welcome page of macOS High Sierra you will see that macOS High Sierra will ask you to select your country region, and continue the installation after selecting.

You have a choice for keyboard layout in macOS High Sierra, but the slandered keyboard layout will be US click on continue, without doing anything extra.

from VMware Workstation Pro menu click on “VM” and select install VMware tools.
